14 Days Kenya Tanzania Classic Safari Package Overview

This 14 Days East Africa Safari Package allows you to discover the best of both Kenya and Tanzania taking in the whole of the Masai Mara and Serengeti regions which are home to some of the greatest concentrations of wildlife on Earth with millions of plains game, thousands of predators such as Lion and majestic Elephant.

During this East African safari take in the beauty of the Rift Valley Lakes known for their flamingo populations and the unique wildlife enclave that is the Ngorongoro Crater and the majesty of Kilimanjaro which presides over the plains.

Discover the areas vibrant cultural history from prehistoric fossils in the Olduvai Gorge to the interesting culture of the Maasai people. The tour offers lots of scope to include optional activities which really ensure that you get the most out of your safari holiday in Africa.


DAY 1: Nairobi City

Welcome to bonfire Safari package. Welcome! Karibu Kenya! Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly received by our Bonfire Adventures tours representative. We then transfer you to Hotel Emerald for check in being assisted by our representative who will then further provide you with a brief of the Safari.

DAY 2: ‘Nairobi- Mount Kenya

Leave Nairobi in the morning to reach the small market town of Nyeri in time for lunch. The founder of the Boy Scouts movement, Lord Baden Powell spent the last years of his life in Nyeri and is buried here. After lunch, drive to the hotel where the night is spent. From the hotel balcony, high above the floodlit waterhole and saltlick, animals can be observed quenching their thirst.

DAY 3: ‘Mount Kenya/Samburu Game Reserve

After morning breakfast, depart for Samburu National Park, crossing the thorny landscape of Samburu country. Samburu national reserve is known for the presence of unique species such as Grevy’s Zebra, the long-necked Gerenuk, among the wildlife that shares this semi-arid habitat.

DAY 4: ‘Samburu Game Reserve

After breakfast, depart for a full day exploration of the reserve where meals will be served in the designated areas inside the reserve and as the sun goes down return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight. (Optional visits to Samburu villages).

DAY 5: ‘Samburu -Lake Nakuru

Leave after breakfast and drive past the Aberdare ranges mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Visit the world famous bird sanctuary of Lake Nakuru National Park.

DAY 6: ‘Lake Nakuru/Masai Mara

Driving across the Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch an evening game viewing will follow in search of black-manned lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, and buffalo along with varied species of hoofed animals.

DAY 7: ‘Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the park

DAY 8: ‘Masai Mara/Lake Victoria

Morning departure to Tanzania by road via the Isabenia border. Lunch en route. Arrive in the afternoon at Speke Bay Lodge/Similar. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax. Speke Bay Lodge is located on the south-eastern shores of Lake Victoria. Time permitting, excursions in boats and on mountain bikes are offered. You can fish from the beach for Tilapia, go out in a boat to catch Nile perch or wander around on the Lodge’s 100 hectares of savannah, looking for birds.

DAY 9 & 10 : ‘Serengeti National Park

On Day 9, continue to the Serengeti National Park where you will spend the next two nights. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives within the vast plains of the Serengeti. Witness the immensity of the park and the amazing numbers of hoofed animals such as zebra, wildebeest, antelopes as well as the predators it shelters during another exciting afternoon game drive.

DAY 11: ‘Serengeti- Ngorongoro

Crater Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti. After lunch, drive to the Ngorongoro area via Olduvai Gorge where remains of prehistoric inhabitants were unearthed.

DAY 12: ‘Ngorongoro Crater- Lake Manyara

Descend into the crater for a half day drive at the bottom of this collapsed volcano, where a
variety of habitats shelter an amazing array of wildlife, surrounded by spectacular scenery. In the
afternoon, proceed to Lake Manyara where you enjoy an afternoon game drive.

  • DAY 13: ‘Lake Manyara- Amboseli National Park

    After breakfast, continue to Arusha and through the Namanga border to pass police formalities
    before heading back to Kenya and Amboseli National Park with a picnic lunch en route. An
    afternoon game drives introduces you to this flat plains of Amboseli, with the majestic
    Kilimanjaro Mountain towering in the distance. The park supports a wide variety of wildlife and
    is home to the Masai tribe.

    DAY 14: ‘Amboseli- Nairobi
    After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi. Enjoy an exotic lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant where
    all kinds of game meats can be tasted(At an Extra Cost). Afterward proceed to the Jomo
    Kenyatta international airport to catch a flight home.
